Browns Multi Species Mix

Multi Species Mix has been formulated to allow hobby farmers who have multiple species on their property to feed a mix that can be used safely for all. It is a general purpose mix and if used correctly is a useful addition to the diet to maintain / assist live weight gain.

This mix is a blend of rolled barley, rolled wheat (in equal amounts) with rolled corn added to assist body condition in cattle, pigs, poultry and sheep primarily. Multi species mix is designed to be fed at 2-4 kg to adult cattle in conjunction with adequate levels of pasture and hay.

It is not designed to be fed ad lib in large amounts with no pasture available. For smaller ruminants like sheep or goats the amount must be adjusted to fit bodyweight,

i.e/ a 40kg sheep should only 0.5-1 kg per day along with plenty of pasture or hay to avoid acidosis in smaller animals.

The protein level is not suitable for young calves as they need 21% protein and are better serviced by using browns calf rearer or heifer grower mix.
