Browns Calf Rearer Pellet is a high protein, high energy, low fibre quality ration which is palatable and nutritious. During the early stages of a calves’ life it is essential that they get the best start possible. To ensure great animal performance it is important that they are fed a diet which will meet the nutritional requirements.
This pellet contains Bovatec® which is used in the prevention of coccidiosis. Coccidiosis is a condition which attacks the gut wall of a young calf, severely reducing performance and delaying efficient rumen development. The Pellet also contains a blend of carbohydrates and high quality proteins that are fermentable.
When consumption of concentrates reaches 0.8 – 1.0kg/day calves can then begin weaning.
Always Ensure:
- Maintaining a regular drenching routine
- Vaccinating program in order to maximize growth rates.
- Clean drinking water provided at all times
- Good Quality clean straw or cereal hay
